Steven Spielberg has confirmed he will direct the next Indiana Jones film.

Screenwriter David Koepp told The Independent the script is near completion, with production scheduled to begin in 2019.
The film will be a continuation of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was released ten years ago, in 2008.
However, Shia LaBeouf will not reprise his role as Indy's son.
Steven Spielberg most recently finished work on Academy Award-nominated The Post. He will direct the new Indiana Jones film before his next project: a West Side Story remake.
The yet untitled movie will be the fifth in the Indiana Jones franchise, and is set to hit cinemas in 2020.
