A young woman bought her boyfriend a video game - but said he could only have it if he signed a contract.

University student Ashley Davison bought her boyfriend Blake Perry a copy of Call of Duty, along with a contract entitled 'Rules for Your New Gift', which some social media users have called "crazy".

Rules included paying her enough attention, texting her back quickly, and asking permission to play the game if she's visiting him.

Mr Perry dutifully signed, then tweeted an image of the contract, along with the comment "Little does she know these rules will be broken."

While Ms Davison has been criticised for the move, the couple have suggested the stunt was a joke, and that some social media users should perhaps lighten up.
