Super Bowl-watching Star Wars fans had a real treat today, getting their first glimpse at Solo: A Star Wars Story just a few months before the movie is set to hit theatres.
Disney and Lucasfilm released the teaser, ahead of dropping the first full-length trailer for the newest instalment in the franchise on Good Morning America sometime Monday morning (local time).
The film follows the young Han Solo and Chewbacca's adventures before joining the Rebellion, including their encounters with a young Lando Calrissian.
The role of Han Solo, previously famously portrayed by Harrison Ford in previous Star Wars films will be taken over by Alden Ehrenreich.
Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Joonas Suotamo will also star in the spinoff.
Directed by Ron Howard, the new instalment in the franchise was written by Star Wars veteran Lawrence Kasdan, who penned three other films in the franchise, along with his son, Jon Kasdan.
