Four new stars have been announced as part of the new What We Do in the Shadows television spinoff - three of them stars of some of 2018's biggest Oscar-nominated movies.

Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi are spearheading the project, based on their 2014 film.

Some of the core cast has already been announced, but today Variety reports four more stars have been added to the half-hour pilot.

Doug Jones, Beanie Feldstein, Jake McDorman, and Mark Proksch will all be joining the new comedy show.  Currently the details behind their roles are under wraps, but all four are tipped to be reoccurring roles if the pilot is successful.

Jones is known best for his roles in the series Star Trek: Discovery and most recently as the creature in The Shape of Water. He also starred in Hellboy and Batman Returns.

Beanie Feldstein is an actress who starred in Bad Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, but more recently Oscar nominated Lady Bird. McDroamn also starred in Lady Bird, as well as American Sniper and US television show Shameless.

Proksch previously starred in Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, as well as hit US sitcom The Office.

The four join previously announced stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, and Harvey Guillen. Clement will serve as writer on the series, while Waititi is set to direct.
