Chrissy Teigen has shared the heart-breaking news that she and husband John Legend are mourning the death of their bulldog Puddy.

Puddy, known to Teigen's fans through many Snapchats and Instagram posts, died after 10 years with the couple.

"John and I got Puddy in our first year of dating, when I convinced him half-birthday presents were a real thing," Teigen wrote on Instagram.

The supermodel and Lip Sync Battle host shared that Puddy had been there through the millstones of their relationship; every "new house, new city, new tour, new travel." That includes the birth of their first daughter Luna, and Teigen's second pregnancy.

"Every time I needed a taste tester [for cookbook, Cravings], someone to kiss or needed to sob into his stinky rolls, he was there. It's true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time.

"I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us. I feel the hole now. I will love you forever, my boy. My heart aches. Thank you so much for everything."

Puddy is survived by Pablo the Bulldog, Penny the Frenchie (French Bulldog) and Pippa the Frenchie.

"Not many people know this but Puddy is survived by his wife, Pippa. Yes, they were married," Teigen wrote in a following post.

She also shared a video of Puddy licking the toes of their daughter baby Luna a baby, captioning it "I love you. I will miss you every day".
