Warning: This article contains spoilers for season one of Big Little Lies.
The second season of HBO drama Big Little Lies is one of the most hotly anticipated television events of the year for many reasons, but mainly for the series debut of Meryl Streep.
Now fans have been given their first sneak-peek of the Academy Award winning actress' look, thanks to an Instagram post by fellow queen of the screen Nicole Kidman.
"First day on the set with Meryl and 'my' darling boys! #BigLittleLies," Kidman captioned the snap.
The post, showing a wig-clad Streep reading with Kidman and her on-screen sons, received more than 100,000 likes from excited fans in its first four hours.
Streep will reportedly play Mary Louise Wright, the mother to the abusive Perry Wright, played by Alexander Skarsgard. Perry died during the Emmy-winning first season of the drama, but Hollywood Reporter says he'll return in some capacity for the second.
Director David E Kelley reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter in October that Streep and Tom Hanks were his dream casting goals for Big Little Lies.
