Kendra Wilkinson sobs over separation from Hank Baskett in emotional video

Reality star Kendra Wilkinson has shared an emotional video, confirming she's leaving her husband of almost a decade, Hank Baskett.

The former Playboy model and Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend posted a tearful video to Instagram on Monday, distraught as she told fans that the reality couple were splitting.

"Ten years. I did everything I could," the Girls Next Door star said in the video. "It wasn't good enough. I will always love him. My heart will always remain open for him.

"I believed in forever, I really did. Guess it's just not meant to be. I'm so scared but I have to get strong for my kids. I will."

She also shared an image of the pair on their wedding day in 2009, captioning it "I believed".

In an earlier cryptic tweet, Wilkinson wrote: "Today will be the saddest, scariest day of my life. Today I will have to be the strongest I've ever been. Today, my rebirth begins."

Rumours of a split have been swirling for a while, with their issues - including cheating and child-raising problems - featured on the reality show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

Their marriage was rocked by scandal in 2014 when Baskett allegedly had an affair with a transgender model while Kendra was eight months pregnant.

Together they have two children; Hank IV, eight, and Alijah, three.
