Killers fan pulled onstage to play drums with the band at Spark Arena concert

A Kiwi fan in the crowd at The Killers had the experience of a life time on Friday night after being pulled on stage to play the drums with the band.

Introduced to the approximately 12,000-strong crowd as "Amy from Auckland", the girl joined the band for their 2006 hit 'For Reasons Unknown'.

She had been in the standing area holding a sign that said "Drums?" when lead singer Brandon Flowers noticed her.

After asking her if she was sure she could play the song and knew all the transitions, Flowers asked security to bring her on stage and give her a shot.

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr stepped aside and joked she shouldn't worry about getting emotional while playing the drums.

"It's okay I cry and play drums all the time," he said. "I'm doing it right now."

Despite being told by Flowers that other people had been brought on stage and made errors during the song, Amy did herself proud and had plenty of encouragement from the crowd.

After the song finished she shared a hug with Flowers and Vannucci Jr, and kept a souvenir of the experience for herself - the drumsticks she played with.

Are you 'Amy from Auckland?' We would love to talk to you about the experience.
