Marama Fox's cha-cha savaged by Dancing with the Stars NZ judges

Māori Party co-leader Marama Fox has been torn apart by Dancing with the Stars NZ judges.

Dancing the cha-cha to Calvin Harris' 'Feels', Ms Fox looked as though she was having plenty of fun - but the judges watching her clearly weren't getting as much enjoyment from watching on.

"Unfortunately, compared to other dancers that we've seen tonight, this is just not up to standard," Rachel White said.

"If you continue to stay in this competition, I need you to bring it."

Rachel's fellow judges were just as harsh, with Camilla Sacre-Dallerup saying the dance was akin to "a school disco, rather than a cha-cha".

"I can't believe we're going to have this conversation one more time, because we spoke about this last week. Who's the boss on the dance floor?" she asked.

"I take his advice every week," Ms Fox said with a laugh, tapping her partner on the chest.

"You need to," a deadpan Camilla responded.

Third judge Julz Docker also reserved some blunt criticism for Ms Fox.

"Your face is a 10, let's not worry about that - but your feet and the hips are around the 2 or 3 mark."

"You know what you need to do - you know this stuff - but I need to see it on the floor. Come on."

Each of the judges then added to Ms Fox's woes with dismal scores of 5, 5 and 4, giving her a meagre total of 14 and putting her at the bottom of the scoreboard.
