Sarah Jessica Parker has been the subject of cruel comments about her appearance following her stint on this year's Met Gala red carpet.

The 53-year-old Sex and the City actress wore an elaborate Dolce & Gabbana gown and a headpiece depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, but online trolls chose to focus on her wrinkles.
One of the many harsh comments on Twitter said: "Holy shit. Sarah Jessica Parker got OLD AS F*CK. She been smoking 40 a day???"
"Aye real quick, how old is Sarah Jessica Parker because shorty skin look like tree bark and I'm confused," said another.
Some blamed the make-up artist involved, claiming the look's blue eyeshadow was the root of the problem.
"The blue eyeshadow is a big mistake - her make-up makes her look strained and gaunt," said a Facebook commenter.
Parker is no stranger to online criticism. She previously told The Edit magazine: "I see mean stuff every day - when I look at Twitter, I scroll with one eye open and one closed."
The fashion icon even went as far as deleting her Twitter account entirely at one stage, calling the social media site "a boneyard, a feast of vitriol".
