Home And Away star Orpheus Pledger has told the story of how he saved a woman who was attacked on her way home last year.
In an interview on Seven's Sunrise, the actor explained how he noticed a woman being followed as he was walking home from the gym.
"My gut told me something was up," he said.
He decided to keep an eye on the situation, but it wasn't long until he noticed the attacker catch up to his target and throw her to the ground.

"I was pretty frightened, but the adrenaline kicked in. My initial reaction was for me to step in and to help," he said.
Pledger, who played Tycho Everson on Home And Away, said he wasn't concerned for his own safety in the moment.
"I was screaming and yelling saying 'stop, stop, stop!' I made sure he got off her."
According to the Daily Telegraph, the man responsible for the assault is 28-year-old Justin Bird. This week he was convicted of aggravated assault with intent to rob, and faces 20 years jail-time.
Of his split-second decision to intervene, Pledger said: "I just needed to do what I could to help."
The soap actor said he couldn't speak for the woman involved, but that he had met with her husband who passed on her thanks for his heroic efforts.
