YouTube star Jamie Curry has taken to social media to thank her fans for their support after she posted a video coming out and announcing her engagement.

The 21-year-old shared a loved-up photo on her Twitter and Instagram accounts, along with the caption, "thank you for all the love x".

It's unclear if the other woman with Curry in the photo is her fiancée, but fans have continued to send their best wishes and congratulations to the couple.

"IS THIS THE LUCKY GAL?? WE'RE HAPPY FOR THE HAPPY JAIME," one Twitter user wrote.

"They so happy I'm jealous," read an Instagram comment.

Earlier this week, Curry explained her long absence from her YouTube channel to her 1.3 million followers.

"I just wasn't happy," she said. "I didn't want to be on camera because I didn't feel comfortable with myself."

She also addressed her struggles with her sexuality.

"I tried to find my label," she said. "Am I gay? Am I bi?"

Curry went on to reveal the news that she had since fallen in love, and was now happily engaged to be married to an unnamed woman.

The Napier native shot to fame as a social media star in 2012, after she started creating comedy videos about her life at the age of 16.
