Buckingham Palace has announced that Zara Tindall has given birth to her second child.

Tindall and her rugby player husband Mike Tindall welcomed a baby girl.

Tindall, an equestrian rider who won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics, is the daughter of the queen's daughter Princess Anne and Capt Mark Phillips.

The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz.

This baby is the fourth grandchild for The Princess Royal and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen.

The new baby girl is believed to be the heaviest royal baby in recent years.
