Demi Lovato is suffering 'complications' at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a reported drug overdose last week, according to TMZ.

A source tells the gossip website the pop star has extreme nausea and a high fever, which appear to be related to the alleged overdose that saw her rushed to hospital six days ago.

The LAPD released a 911 call made by friends of the recording artist who asked the dispatcher for "no sirens, please" in an attempt to avoid media attention.

Lovato was discovered unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home, and was revived by emergency services who administered Narcan, a treatment for opioid overdoses.

Multiple media sources reported that the 'Skyscraper' singer was uncooperative with paramedics once she came around, refusing to disclose which drugs she had ingested.

Lovato's ex-boyfriend, actor Wilmer Valderrama, has been photographed outside Cedars-Sinai several times since she was admitted. TMZ claims he spent at least five hours by her side during one visit.
