Meghan Markle's dad says he won't stop talking to press, enjoys 'silencing' the Royal Family

The Duchess Of Sussex's father, Thomas Markle has gone to the press with his family woes again - despite claiming a recent interview with The Sun would be his last.

Meghan Markle's father spoke to TMZ amid reports the Duke and Duchess were frustrated that he continued to do paid interviews about the family dysfunction.

"I was silent for a full year and the press beat me up every day saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico, so I gave my story," he said.

In his interview with The Sun, he claimed Meghan was "terrified" and wearing a "pained smile" everyday as a royal.

"Apparently that interview put the Royal Family in their silence mode ... so, I gave another interview to break the silence," he said.

"All they have to do is speak to me."

Thomas has been open about the fact that he hasn't had any contact with his daughter since her royal wedding to Prince Harry in May.

He has talked of plans to fly to the UK in attempt to reach Meghan now that the phone number he has for her is no longer active.

Until then, it appears he may have reconsidered his decision to stop speaking to the press.

"Tomorrow is my birthday, 74 years old, and I'm enjoying the fact that I can make the entire Royal Family not speak and maybe I can get a laugh out of the duchess," he said.
