Music legend Aretha Franklin is 'gravely ill' in a Detroit hospital, reports say.
A report from Showbiz411's Roger Friedman said Franklin is 'gravely ill' and that she is 'surrounded by friends and family'.
Franklin, 76, is known for hits such as 'Respect' and 'I Say a Little Prayer'.
Franklin's last performance was in November last year at Elton John's AIDS Foundation in New York.
The Detroit native had her voice declared a Michigan 'natural resource' and in 1987 she became the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
