Donald Trump declared 'the last President' in trailer for Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9

Michael Moore has released the first trailer for his new Donald Trump documentary, Fahrenheit 11/9.

The film's title comes from the date of the 2016 election that infamously saw the reality TV star and real estate mogul win the US presidency, as well as positioning it as a sequel to his 2004 film, Fahrenheit 9/11.

Moore declares Trump "the last President" in the video.

"Donald Trump is an evil genius. He has no intention of leaving the White House," Moore told Huffington Post, which debuted the trailer.

"Whenever he hears that another country has a President for life, he perks up and thinks, 'I like the sound of that!' And he has an obedient political party that holds every seat of power backing him up."

The trailer highlights conflicts in the US that have grown more pronounced in recent years, with footage of the KKK and neo-Nazis burning crosses and swastikas, along with interviews with mass shooting survivors.

Trump campaign advisor Roger Stone is seen warning of widespread violence across the US if the former Celebrity Apprentice host is impeached.

Fahrenheit 11/9 is the second film from Moore that focuses on Trump, following 2016's Michael Moore in TrumpLand.

Moore famously predicted Trump would win the presidency before the election, when almost every poll claimed Hillary Clinton would.

Fahrenheit 11/9 set for release in North America on September 21.
