Celebrities - they're just like us!
They go to the grocery store (not really), they walk their dog (carry them in tiny handbags), and they have awkward run-ins at parties with people they don't like.
There is one major difference, though - when you're famous, those cringey confrontations are often captured on camera for the enjoyment of the plebs (us).
One such interaction occurred at the MTV VMAs this week: Kylie Jenner went awkwardly and unsubtly out of her way to avoid Nicki Minaj on the red carpet.

It's not really surprising Kylie backtracked when she saw the 'Anaconda' rapper stalking down the red carpet towards her - they've had some serious beef.
So, when Kylie saw Nicki, she stopped dead in her tracks, 'asked her assistant a question', then high-tailed it towards some fans. It was the famous person equivalent of taking a fake phone call to avoid someone at the supermarket.
Earlier this week, Nicki took to Twitter to lash out at Kylie for promoting boyfriend Travis Scotts' album, which scored the number one spot in the charts - outranking Nicki's album Queen.
Multiple media outlets reported that Kylie and Travis were meant to be seated next to Nicki during the VMAS, but they asked to be moved - throwing serious shade in the process.
Set to be the youngest 'self-made' billionaire in history, Kylie is no fool. She probably, like the rest of us, remembers how Nicki called Miley Cyrus "this bitch who had a lot to say about me in the press" at the 2015 VMAS, and so decided to keep her distance.
