P!nk hospitalised, hits out at paparazzi after cancelling Australian show

Pop star P!nk has lashed out at media outlets implying she pulled a sickie after cancelling several Australian shows over being hospitalised for a gastric virus.

The 'So What' hitmaker postponed the first of her Sydney shows over the weekend, before she was admitted to hospital.

P!nk then took to Instagram to fire back at paparazzi who snapped her "hitting the beach".

"I don't need to clear this up, but out of respect for my fans I will attempt it," she wrote.

"I scheduled this tour meticulously, trying to do what was best for my children, while also putting on the best and most physically demanding and beautiful show of my life."

P!nk went on to explain that her and her kids had already fallen ill twice during the Beautiful Trauma Australian tour, but she had pushed through.

She unleashed on the "parasite paparazzi" who didn't capture the doctor's visits and mountains of medication she was taking to try to get better.

"You can think whatever you want, it's your right, but I have never taken advantage of any one in my entire life," she continued.

"I have never f**ked off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play."

Citing her "impeccable record for not cancelling", P!nk said she was simply doing her best, and "longed for a nicer world".

She also pointed out how uncomfortable the "creepy men" taking pictures made her seven-year-old daughter feel.

The Grammy winner had hoped to continue with the rest of her Sydney shows regardless of her health issues, but promoter Live Nation confirmed via Twitter that both remaining performances would be rescheduled.

The Beautiful Trauma Tour arrives in New Zealand in September.
