Donald Trump's angry tweets at Mac Miller resurface after rapper's death

Former reality TV star and current US President Donald Trump's Twitter attacks against Mac Miller are being recirculated after the rapper's death.

In 2013, the then-host of Celebrity Apprentice issued a series of scathing tweets at the then 21-year-old musician, calling him an "ungrateful dog".

Miller was found dead in a bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home outside Los Angeles last week, after suffering an apparent drug overdose.

President Trump's anger toward him appears to have been ignited by Miller's first charting single, 2011's 'Donald Trump'.

"Little Mac Miller, you illegally used my name for your song 'Donald Trump', which now has over 75 million hits," Trump tweeted.

"I'm going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance. You ungrateful dog!"

In other tweets directed at Miller, Trump also said "screw you", "kiss my ass" and "I want the money".

In the lyrics to 'Donald Trump', Miller appears to be praising the real estate heir's wealth and aspiring to gain similar riches himself.

"Bitches hatin' on him 'cause he started out here locally," raps Miller in the track.

"Take over the world when I'm on my Donald Trump shit. Look at all this money! Ain't that some shit?"

However, in 2016 Miller had a less favourable view of Trump. During an appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, he described him as "an egomaniacal, attention-thirsty, psychopathic, power-hungry, delusional waste of skin and bones".

Several fellow musicians and celebrities have paid tribute to Miller on social media since he died. President Trump is not among them.
