Tributes to Mac Miller are continuing to flow following the young rapper's sudden death over the weekend.

Elton John and John Mayer have both issued emotional messages, which add to tributes from the likes of Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Snoop Dogg, Liam Gallagher, Pharrell Williams, Post Malone, Missy Elliott, Joey Badass and Lil Yachty.

Miller was found dead in a bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home outside Los Angeles about midday on Friday (local time), after suffering an apparent drug overdose.

Fan footage catured the moment John dedicated a performance of 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' to Miller during his concert in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

"I'd like to dedicate this song to Mac Miller. Unbelievably, 26 years of age, and passed away yesterday.

"It's inconceivable that someone so young, and with so much talent, could do that. And I just would like to pass all of our love and best wishes to his loved ones, his family, his friends.

"Mac, wherever you are, I hope you're happy now."

Mayer took to Instagram with a lengthy message under a photo of Miller, saying his career was just about to blow up.

"This was going to be Mac Miller's year. He made a quantum leap in his music," Mayer wrote.

"That's incredibly hard to do, to evolve and get better and more focused while your career is already underway."

Meanwhile, Grande - Miller's ex - disabled comments on Instagram after trolls blamed her for his death.
