Prince William has made an embarrassing mistake while making a visit to the newly opened Japan House in London.
The Duke of Cambridge was touring the cultural centre when he mixed up the words "Chinese" and "Japanese", The Daily Mail reports.

William asked a group of London school children if they had tried "much Chinese food" as they practiced picking up edamame beans with chopsticks.
He quickly corrected himself, saying: "Um, Japanese food. Have you had much Japanese food? No? Not too much. Do you like sushi? It's delicious, it really is yummy."
The second in line to the throne quickly forgot about the mistake and enjoyed himself throughout the rest of the visit.
He called the centre "wonderful" and enjoyed a piece of sushi from Japanese chef Akira, who has set up a restaurant in the centre.
"Very impressive," William said, as he helped himself to salmon sashimi. "Thank you very much. My wife and I love sushi. We might have to come down here for lunch when no-one else is in.
"You must get a lot of Japanese visitors here. So do lots of people come in and ask for a burger? That's what usually happens, doesn't it?"
William was presented with a silver hand-made tea pot as a gift for attending the opening. Similar items sell in the gift shop for up to £8,000 (NZ$15,945).
