Rapper Lil Xan hospitalised after eating 'too many Hot Cheetos'

Lil Xan has assured fans his recent hospitalisation was not a result of drug use, but rather eating "too many Flamin' Hot Cheetos".

The 22-year-old Californian rapper posted a photo taken from the back of an ambulance on social media on Monday (local time), sending Instagram followers into a concerned frenzy.

He then took to social media again to explain that the medical incident was the result of him binge-eating his favourite snack.

"I just want to let everybody know that I was in the hospital, not due to any drugs, but I guess I ate too many hot Cheetos," Xan said in a video showing off his hospital wristband.

"It ripped something in my stomach open, so I puked a little blood," he added, laughing, before declaring he was now "good" and ready to go on tour.

The trap artist also made reference to his being "MIA" following a messy, live-streamed break up with Miley Cyrus' sister, Noah, and the death of his mentor, Mac Miller.

"Sorry to any fans I let down in the last month, we're all human and make mistakes and excuses, but not anymore," he wrote on Instagram.

Lil Xan's lyrics often centre on his enjoyment of recreational drug use.

The 'Pills' hitmaker was recently criticised by Eminem in his Kamikaze track 'The Ringer', which also targeted Machine Gun Kelly, Iggy Azalea, Lil Yachty, Donald Trump, Lil Pump and Charlamagne tha God.
