Alexander and Alice are the early bookies favourites for the name of the new royal baby, after Meghan Markle's announcement that she is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in spring 2019.
At bookmaker Fitzdares, Alexander is the boy favourite paying 2/1, while Alice tops the girls at 5/2.

Arthur and Phillip round out the boys top three favourites, with Victoria and Mary seen as strong possibilities should the baby be a girl.
Other names on the Fitzdares list include Albert, Nicholas, Alfred, James and Thomas and Isabella, Eleanor, Augusta, Rachel and Diana.
It's been reported that while the Queen has to be the first person to know of the birth and of the name, reports suggest Meghan and Harry will not have to run the name by Her Majesty before settling.
Royal names often link to family connections, and a nod to Princess Diana, Harry's mother, is seen as a possibility.
