Clarke Gayford has announced in a Facebook video that he is going back to work on his Fish of the Day television programme.
Gayford has been a stay-at-home dad since baby Neve was born in June, while his partner Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern ran the country.
In the video, Gayford said he will begin filming again in the summer.
"Through the powers of some very efficient scheduling, and some wonderful grandmothers offering to babysit, Fish of the Day is coming back," he said.
"I'm very much looking forward to that."

Gayford starts the video sporting his trademark beard, but towards the end a jump cut reveals his new facial hair-free look.
He said Ardern hated his "luxurious" yet "disgusting" beard and it was also difficult to wear a diving mask with a face full of hair.
Some Facebook users took the time to leave comments with one saying he was in good company.
"Willie Apiata always needed to shave his mo off when doing scuba work," the user said.
Gayford replied: "I've taken plenty of hairy guys spearing, who have no problem. One of life's greatest mysteries."
