Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff and comedian Paddy McGuiness have been named the new Top Gear hosts.

The show is set to return for a 27th season with filming to begin early 2019.

Mr McGuiness is a comedian and TV presenter, and has hosted numerous game shows in the UK.

Mr Flintoff is known for his many years playing for the England cricket team, but since his retirement from the sport he too has been involved in presenting TV shows.

The two new hosts join former racing driver Chris Harris to front the show.

Matt LeBlanc, the actor known for his work on Friends, announced he would step down from his hosting role at the end of the next series.

Rory Reid will also no longer continue in his hosting role.
