Tekashi 6ix9ine brags about hit on Chief Keef's cousin ahead of shooting - reports

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine reportedly ordered a US$30,000 hit on fellow artist Chief Keef's cousin, just before Keef escaped a shooting in New York.

Footage obtained by TMZ appears to show Tekashi69 in May bragging about putting a hit on Keef's cousin, Tadoe, after the pair finished a Facetime conversation with each other.

In the video, Tekashi69 is seen talking to Tadoe and insulting his star power, saying, "You not hot n***a you ain't sell no records... when you got a show in New York because that s*** is not selling out," he said.

He then asks for Tadoe's location and if he is staying at Keef's New York hotel.

After the conversation, Tekashi69 brags about having a "30 pack on him right now".

According to an ABC affiliate, a shooter fired at Chief Keef several days later at his Times Square Hotel. He was not harmed in the shooting.

Tekashi69 later denied being involved in the shooting, saying his MO was the opposite of violence, reports TMZ.

Despite that, the rapper was recently arrested on a range of gang-related charges for which he is facing a minimum of 32 years in prison, according to Rolling Stone.

His lawyer claims he's an innocent victim and only pretended to be a gangster to sell his music.

It isn't the first time he has had a run in with the law. In 2015, the rapper admitted to child sex offences, for which he narrowly avoid prison by agreeing to a plea deal.
