Beware: Teen Mom Australia is coming

Well stone the flamin' crows, MTV New Zealand has announced that Teen Mom Australia is coming in 2019.

The hit US reality TV show - originally a spin-off of 16 and Pregnant - focuses on the lives of young mothers as they cope with motherhood and their often strained family and romantic relationships.

In a media release, MTV says Teen Mom "resonates with viewers as the show is ultimately non-judgmental and honest" - but the popularity of YouTube compilation clips suggest it's the fights and meltdowns that most resonate with viewers.

Reality TV fans can now look forward to those types of the fights and meltdowns all expressed with with Australian accents and slang.

"Teen Mom Australia will explore the lives of three Teen Moms from different backgrounds and different corners of Australia as they try to find the right balance between child care, working, and teenage hormones," says MTV.

The show currently has an open casting call out for young Aussie mothers.
