Wellywood is proving to be prime competition for Hollywood.
The screen industry has pumped nearly $4 billion into the economy in the last four years, making the city one of the top three places in the world for visual effects.
And that's driven by big names like Peter Jackson - whose blockbuster movie Mortal Engines has just been released, becoming the first movie 100 percent made in Wellington.
