Tekashi 6ix9ine to be re-sentenced for teen sex offence, adding extra jail time - report

Infamous rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine will reportedly be re-sentenced for his 2015 sexual misconduct case, in which he pleaded guilty to filming a 13-year-old child engaged in a sex act with a grown man.

The 'FeFe' hitmaker, real name Daniel Hernandez, is already behind bars - being held without bail on firearms and racketeering charges, which he has denied.

Earlier this year, he dodged jail time for the unlawful use of a minor in a sexual performance, instead being sentenced to four years of probation that stipulated he didn't commit a crime for two years.

According to Page Six, prosecutors wanted a sentence of one to three years for the crime. Now that the 22-year-old is facing federal charges, his probation is void, and he may have to serve that time in prison.

Most recently, the rapper is accused of carrying out armed robberies and organising shootings of rivals as part of the Nine Trey Bloods gang.

According to TMZ, Tekashi69 has also been threatened with a US$500,000 (NZ$722,460) lawsuit for pulling out of a performance in Washington D.C 35 minutes before doors opened.

Despite facing a life sentence if convicted of the violent gun-related charges, Tekashi 69 has been active from behind bars, dropping his new album Dummy Boy, which topped the US iTunes hip-hop charts.

He also reportedly gifted his girlfriend a Rolex watch worth US$35,000 (NZ$50,000) last week.
