Hugh Jackman is set to star in Avengers: Endgame as his X-Men character Wolverine, according to online rumours.
Marvel fans are hoping 2017's Logan wasn't the last time the Aussie actor played the superhero after all - and his fierce fighting ability would be put to good use against the all-powerful villain, Thanos.

Google is responsible for igniting fan hope after listing 2019's Avengers: Endgame as one of the top results for the search "famous Hugh Jackman movies".
The fourth Avengers film is listed alongside The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables, The Prestige and his other Wolverine and X-Men movies.
Disney, the media company that owns Marvel Studios, recently acquired 21st Century Fox - the studio that owns screen rights to the X-Men franchise.
That makes it more likely than ever that Wolverine and other X-Men characters could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe - but Jackman stated multiple times that Logan would be the last time he ever played the character.
If not before, Marvel fans will find out if Wolverine fights Thanos in Avengers: Endgame when it's released in April.
