Katy Perry has revealed that she was once suspended from school for making "sexual motions" towards a tree she was pretending was Tom Cruise.

Sharing a snap of a school report to her Instagram Story, the 'Firework' singer wrote: "When I was suspended in sixth grade for humping a tree and I guess other stuff."
The report outlines how Perry was busted during recess, when she and her friends were practicing a skit in an "off-limits area".
"Katy pretended that a tree was Tom Cruise and began making sexual motions (pelvic thrusts) to the tree," the document read.
When asked to describe the incident later, the future pop star told her teachers "it was inappropriate" and "like making out".
It appears Perry kissing a tree and liking it was the final straw for Santa Barbara Christian school, who remarked there had previously been "several incidents and a clear warning".
Other offenses included wearing crop tops, "doing the Macarena dance", playing spin the bottle and using the Lord's name in vain.
