Kiwi singer Kelsy Karter gets Harry Styles' face tattooed on her cheek

New Zealand-born singer Kelsy Karter has taken to Instagram to unveil an apparent tattoo of pop star Harry Style's face indelibly inked on her cheek.

"Mama, look what I made me do" the 24-year-old captioned the images, one of which shows her posing alongside tattoo artist Romeo Lacoste, according to Cosmpolitan.

The rendering of the One Direction star's visage takes up most of Karter's right cheek, and also features his initials in a small love heart.

The self-described "rock and roll lady rebel" hinted at her plans for the outrageous ink earlier this month, tweeting "finally know what I'm getting Harry for his birthday...."

Some online commentators have doubted the legitimacy of the tattoo, citing the coinicental timing of the new ink with the release of the singer's latest music video.

However, other images posted to Lacoste's now-expired Instagram story appear to show the celebrity tattoo artist working on Karter's face.

Last year, the Los Angeles-based musician gushed about her feelings for Styles, dubbing herself a "female version" of him.

"He was the poppiest of pop stars, and then he went off on his own and made a classic rock album," she said in an interview with iD.

"He's introduced the kids to the kind of music I want to make. For that, I'm really grateful.

"I also just want his career. I feel like I'm a female version - I really want to work with him.

"Let's work, Harry. Where you at?"

Styles has yet to publicly acknowledge the extreme fan art.
