Video of Drake kissing and groping teen girl on stage sparks outrage

Historical video footage of Drake kissing and fondling a teenage fan onstage has surfaced, sparking outrage online.

The clip, which was filmed some years ago according to the Daily Beast, shows the 'Hotline Bling' rapper getting up close and personal with a young woman he pulled on stage during a concert.

After commenting on the unnamed fan's hair, Drake pulls her shirt to the side before kissing her on the neck and wrapping his arms around her chest, while the crowd erupts in cheers.

"Y'all going to have me get carried away again," he tells the audience.

"I get in trouble for shit like this!"

When the Grammy Award winner then asks the girl how old she is, she replies that she's 17 - prompting jeers from the crowd.

"I can't go to jail yet, man!" Drake responds.

"I don't know whether I should feel guilty or not, but I had fun."

"I like the way your breasts feel against my chest. I just want to thank you," he adds, before kissing the girl on her hand, cheeks and lips.

The newly resurfaced video has gone viral on Twitter, prompting many to comment on the inappropriate nature of the interaction.

"Pulling a female fan out of a crowd and then kissing her is really, really not OK to begin with," one Twitter user wrote.

"The fact that she's underage just makes it more disturbing."

"Gross! What?! This is sick...!" said another.

"And just like R Kelly, teen girls and fans everywhere will defend him... we need to stop accepting or normalising this!"

However, not all of the responses to the 32-year-old's onstage antics have been negative. Some social media users have rushed to his defence, pointing out that the girl was not technically underage.

"I'm not a Drake fan but this contact is legal under Colorado law, which is where I'm told this took place," one tweet read, along with information on the age of consent in Colorado.

"Imagine being offended by Drake hugging/kissing a female fan on stage," read another.

Drake has yet to respond to the controversy.
