An area of the Homegrown festival in Wellington has been evacuated after someone reported seeing a person of concern.

"The Dub and Roots stage was evacuated at Homegrown at 9:21pm due to a threat received just before the two minutes silence," Kelly Wright, Homegrown spokesperson told Newshub.

"The stage will remain closed for the rest of the night."

According to police, Homegrown security made a call to partially evacuate after a report of a person of concern. Police are speaking with that person.

There isn't a bomb threat, and there isn't thought to be any threat to the public, a statement from police says.
