Married At First Sight Australia's Ines Basic pleads guilty to drink driving

Ines Basic has pleaded guilty in a Queensland court to drink driving and obstructing police after committing the offences on Christmas Day last year.

The incident saw the Married At First Sight Australia star allegedly ram her sister's car after an argument, then repeatedly gave police a fake name and swear at them.

Basic was sentenced to 70 hours community service and disqualified from driving for three months, 9 News reports.

The magistrate reportedly gave her a stern telling off over her rationale for committing the offences, which was: "I would never drink and drive, but the bitch pissed me off".

Cameras at the Cleveland Magistrates Court caught the 29-year-old's dramatic arrival; she turned up in a limousine, with a feisty bodyguard who ordered photographers around.

Basic is one of the many 2019 MAFS AU participants who cheated on her partner with someone else's on the show.

She appeared to spend the night with Elizabeth Sobinoff's husband Sam Ball, shortly before dumping her own spouse, Bronson Norrish.

Married At First Sight Australia is currently airing on Sundays at 7pm and Monday-Wednesday at 7.30pm on Three. Previous episodes can be viewed online on ThreeNow.
