Kim Kardashian's former step-brother Brody Jenner gave his famous sibling a brutal backhanded compliment when asked about her budding career as a lawyer.

TMZ cameras caught Brody, son of Caitlyn Jenner, outside LAX, where he commented on the reality star's new legal aspirations - nicely, at first.

"Kim's a very smart woman. I think she'd be a great lawyer," he said.

"I think Kim's just one of those people that she can pretty much do anything."

Despite dubbing her "bright and smart", Brody made it clear he would not want to be represented by Kim - under any circumstances.

"Hopefully she won't have to be my lawyer one day," he said.

"Not that she wouldn't do a great job, I just don't want to be in the court room."

Earlier this month, Kim revealed she's studying to take the bar exam by 2022, training under four mentor lawyers in place of attending university.

"I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society," the reality TV star told Vogue magazine.

"I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more."
