Rapper Chris Brown says he wishes rock band Chvrches 'walked in front of a speeding bus'

Rapper Chris Brown says he wishes rock band Chvrches would walk in front of a speeding bus.

Brown's comment comes after the band posted on Instagram on Friday saying that they were disappointed that former collaborator Marshmello was now working with the rapper.

"We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello's choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown," Chvrches' post read.

"We like and respect Mello as a person but working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behaviour. That is not something we can or will stand behind."

Chvrches features on the song 'Here With Me', released by producer Marshmello in March this year.

Brown, who features with Tyga on Marshmello's latest release 'Light It Up', commented on a separate Chvrches Instagram post saying he wished the band were dead.

"BUNCH OF LOSERS. These are the type of people I wish walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patience [sic]," the post read.

Chvrches have not yet responded, though lead singer Lauren Mayberry has posted screenshots of direct messages she has received calling her a bitch and that her single with Marshmello was a flop.

"Light It Up will debut #1 on the Billboard charts. F**k you bitch," one message read.

In 2009, Brown was sentenced to five years of probation after he pleaded guilty to savagely assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

The 'Forever' singer went on to have multiple legal troubles, including being arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly threatening a woman with a gun in 2016.
