Why Meghan Markle won't pose with baby after giving birth - report

Meghan Markle won't pose with her and Prince Harry's newborn baby on the hospital steps as other royal mothers have, according to reports.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly might not even give birth at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's hospital as Duchess Kate and Princess Diana did.

The report comes from royal news and interviews podcast On Heir, which claims Harry and Meghan are not planning to follow in Diana and Kate's footsteps.

"At the moment, we understand that she isn't, she doesn't want to do that, isn't going to do that," said host Emily Andrews of an 'on the steps' photo.

Her co-host Omid Scobie agreed, citing "feminist beliefs" as the reason.

"Given what we know about Meghan, the optics of a totally glamorous, picture-perfect moment hours after giving birth are not quite in alignment with her views on the world," said Omid.

An unnamed source added to tabloid The Sun that Meghan did not want to be "primped and blow-dried to within an inch of her life" shortly after giving birth.

The royal family has not confirmed where Meghan and Harry will welcome their first child together.
