Fans have been left devastated after Australian DJ Adam Neat was found dead in Bali at the weekend.

Neat, known as Adam Sky on stage, was involved in a fatal accident while trying to help a friend who suffered multiple fractures in Bali on Saturday (local time), his official Facebook page said.

Details about his death have emerged and it's understood one of the women the Melbourne man was staying with fractured her leg after falling four metres from their pool area, Nine News reports.

Police said he suffered cuts which lead to deadly blood loss after he ran into a glass door on his way to help.

"Relatives and friends of Adam are travelling to Bali today [Sunday] and handling all arrangements," a statement on his Facebook page said.

The statement asked people to respect his family's privacy.

"Rest in peace Adam. So sad you are not here anymore, but hoping the tracks are as awesome wherever you are," one Facebook user said.

"Absolutely tragic and totally devastated," another said.

Alcohol was involved in Neat's death, police said.

He was "super friendly", according to resort workers who spoke to Nine News.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed to Nine News it was giving consular support.
