Game of Thrones cast being 'disappointed' with season 8 video goes viral

A compilation of Game of Thrones cast members responding awkwardly to how they feel about the eighth season is being widely shared online.

Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, even labels the finale "disappointing".

YouTube account Dankius M Meme has edited together three minutes of the hit fantasy show's actors opinions on the final season and it's a viral hit - racking up nearly 9 million views in under a week.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) laughs nervously and appears to sarcastically dub season 8 the "best season ever", before she and co-star Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) laugh at what she's said.

In the footage of his interview, Harrington is asked to sum up his feelings on episode S08E06, the series grand finale, in one word.

"Disappointing," he replies, before joking and saying "epic, I dunno".

Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Conleth Hill (Varys) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missendei) also feature in the video.

In print interviews, the cast have also expressed less-than-glowing-praise for the show's latest season.

Hill said he found what's happened to Varys "frustrating" in an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW).

"As a whole, it's been overwhelmingly positive and brilliant, but I suppose the last couple seasons weren't my favourite," he said.

Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) told the publication she strongly disagreed with her character agreeing to have sex with a man in the eighth season, but ultimately trusted in showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss' decision for her to do so.

"I really had wished that I had more time or scenes this season maybe with Daenerys or even with Cersei," Emmanuel told EW.

Viewers at home will get to see just how disappointing or satisfying the final Game of Thrones episode is when it airs next week.
