Game of Thrones finale featured plastic water bottle gaffe

This article includes spoilers for the finale.

The final ever episode of Game of Thrones included a visual gaffe involving plastic water bottles, just two weeks after the infamous coffee cup blooper.

What was thought to be a Starbucks mug was spotted on the table of Daenerys Targaryen during a party at Winterfell, only to be later digitally removed.

In the grand finale, plastic water bottles were identified by eagle-eyed viewers during a fateful meeting in King's Landing which ended up with a new ruler of Westeros being decided upon.

A little more than 46 minutes into Game of Thrones S08E06 'The Iron Throne' a plastic water bottle can be seen behind the foot of John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly on the show.

A few minutes later, another can be seen behind the foot of Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth.

"[Laughing my ass off] I can't breathe, they did it again - first Starbucks, now a water bottle. This show is a joke," tweeted @JonxDanyy with an image of one of the bottles.

The water bottle goof isn't the only thing some viewers are taking issue with in the Game of Thrones finale - others were mad at the way the story finished.

While the TV series has come to an end, the series of novels it's based on has not. George RR Martin still has two books left in the Song of Ice and Fire yet to be released.
