Teen Mom star Jenelle Eason fired by MTV after husband killed her dog

Teen Mom star Jenelle Eason will no longer feature on the MTV show after her husband David Eason shot and killed their family dog.

Jenelle opened up to Us Weekly about the incident, telling the magazine: "He just took her and shot her in the woods, about two acres away from the house."

David justified the killing on social media, claiming the French bulldog called Nugget had bitten the couple's young daughter Ensley.

"I'm all about protecting my family, it is my life's mission," he wrote on Instagram.

"Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me."

Now, MTV has released statements to Us Weekly and TMZ confirming they'll no longer work with the reality star, who got her start on 16 and Pregnant.

"We have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season," the statement read.

MTV made the decision to drop David from the show back in 2018, after he made homophobic comments on Twitter.

Jenelle mourned the loss of her pet on Instagram last week, using the hashtags #heartbroken and #distraught. She told multiple media outlets divorce was in her thoughts.

TMZ reports the pair remains together, but Jenelle's six-figure salary from Teen Mom is gone.
