'Can You Feel The Love?' Beyoncé and Donald Glover's duet sends Lion King fans wild

A new commercial for Disney's reboot of The Lion King has treated fans to a snippet of Beyoncé and Donald Glover's rendition of 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?'

The 30-second clip offers up only the briefest of refrains from the iconic song first written and performed by Elton John, but it's been enough to send anticipation for the new film into overdrive.

Earlier this year, Billy Eichner, who plays meerkat Timon, said he was reduced to tears by Beyonce and Glover's duet as lions Nala and Simba respectively.

"I'm telling you, it's f**king good," he said in an interview on the Keep It podcast in March.

"Honestly, it made me cry," Eichner confessed. "I was not expecting that."

It appears Eichner isn't the only one feeling the love in response to the new track.

"I thought I was ready but I wasn't," one fan tweeted.

"This soundtrack is going to be so beautiful. I can't wait," said another, followed by several crying emojis.

"I'm gonna cry. I can feel it. It's my childhood all over again," one tweet read.

As well as the musical sneak-peek, the new commercial features scenes of a young Simba with Mufasa, voiced by James Earl Jones, who is reprising his role from the original movie.

The remake of the Oscar-winning 90's classic will also star Seth Rogen as Pumba, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, and John Oliver as Zazu.
