'She deserved it': Bryce Casey gushes about wife Sharyn's multiple radio award wins

The Rock host Bryce Casey couldn't contain his pride about wife Sharyn Casey's multiple wins at the New Zealand Radio Awards on Thursday night.

Bryce gushed to his nearly 26,000 followers about his partner, one third of The Edge Afternoon's show alongside Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce.

"Tried to take a good photo of me and Sharyn Casey, this happened," he captioned a blurry snap of the pair's legs.

"Tonight I was very proud. She won 3/3 NZ radio awards tonight. Prior, she hadn't won before or ever for 13 years," he added.

"She even won the only award I was nominated for. She deserved it."

Sharyn, who has just finished hosting the 2019 season of Dancing With The Stars NZ, took out the award for Best Music Non-Breakfast Team with co-hosts Jono and Ben.

The drive show trio were also recognised for their Deadpool Marathon, which caught the attention of Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds and scored them The Best Video prize, as well as jointly winning the coveted Blackie Award.

Sharyn called the wins "surreal" on her Facebook page, adding "I'm not sure it actually happened, but I'm super thankful".

Not satisfied with one congratulatory post, Bryce uploaded another snap of the couple - this time in focus - writing simply: "One of these people won multiple radio awards last night."

"One of these people should've because he's a blimmin' talented bloke but also reals hot [sic]," Sharyn shot back at her husband, who was also nominated for The Blackie Award with his Morning Rumble co-hosts Roger Farrelly and Andrew Mulligan.
