Cameron Boyce's father shares final photo taken of the actor as new details emerge about his death

Victor Boyce, the father of late Disney star Cameron Boyce, has shared the final photo taken of his son before the 20-year-old died suddenly over the weekend.

On Wednesday (local time) Boyce posted a photo of Cameron sitting at a table, captured mere hours before his sudden death. '

"My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives," Boyce captioned the photograph on Instagram.

"I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I'm feeling, but no one is immune to tragedy.

"The outpouring of love and support our family continues to receive is so beautiful and appreciated. Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation."

Cameron's death was confirmed by his family on Saturday night (local time). It has been revealed that the 20-year-old died in his sleep after suffering a seizure as a result of his ongoing medical condition, epilepsy.

The Los Angeles-born actor was found unresponsive in his home on Saturday afternoon and was pronounced dead on the scene.

An autopsy was performed on Monday and the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

Cameron Boyce was known for his role as Luke Ross on Jessie, which ran for four seasons on Disney Channel, as well as Cruella de Vil's teenage son, Carlos, in Disneys' Descendants movies.

He also starred in Eagle Eye with Shia LaBeouf and Grown Ups alongside Adam Sandler, who paid an emotional tribute to the young star.

"Too young. Too sweet. Too funny," the comedic actor wrote on Instagram.

"Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around."
