Jeff Goldblum may have hinted at return in Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder

Beloved actor Jeff Goldblum has set fan hearts aflutter by apparently suggesting he'll reprise his role as The Grandmaster in Taika Waititi's recently announced Thor: Love and Thunder.

If he does, the Jurassic Park star will be joining the film's already announced stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson.

Goldblum appears to have tweeted about the movie in his usual enigmatic style.

"Love & Thunder... 2021. Thanks Taika Waititi," the @jeffreygoldbIum account wrote, with a winking face emoji.

The tweet includes an edited image of the film's title, with words added saying: "And not forgetting The Grandmaster".

Goldblum's apparent response to Love and Thunder on Twitter spawned over 1000 excited replies, among them: "this better mean you're in it" and "that explains the 'love' part in the title".

However, media outlet IGN chimed in to tell fans the Twitter account isn't actually Goldblum's, linking to a rival Goldblum account it claims is his.

Neither have the blue verification tick, and the account IGN linked to has sent only one single tweet and only has a fraction of the followers of @jeffreygoldbIum.

It's all a bit mysterious and strange, much like the man himself.

Thor: Love and Thunder was announced over the weekend at Comic-Con, with the revelation it'll feature a female Thor causing controversy online.
