Pop stars Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are a hot celebrity couple, according to multiple online gossip outlets.
The pair were snapped looking very friendly in Los Angeles over the last few days, which some are seeing as proof they're dating, despite their denials to the media.
"Attention Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello shippers: The maybe-couple were just photographed all over each other by paparazzi, so if you're looking for proof that they're dating... yeah, this is it," reports Mehera Bonner for Cosmopolitan.
PopSugar's Kelsie Gibson gave a descriptive narrative to go with the pics: "The singers were spotted walking around town holding hands, before Shawn pulled Camila - who recently broke up with her boyfriend, Matthew Hussey - into his arms and they cuddled."
Mendes and Cabello released their number one hit 'Señorita' last month, together with a racy video of the pair touching each other that Cosmopolitan describes as a "walking thirst trap".
Since the video's release and Cabello's split from her former beau, rumours have been rife that the two are indeed a couple - rumours driven into overdrive by these latest photos, published by Backgrid.
"Not only do we have this adorable hand-hold... they literally couldn't stop hugging each other," Cosmopolitan gushed.
'Like, at one point Camila was fully stroking his abs, just saying."
TMZ has also published video it claims shows Mendes and Cabello cuddling in a diner at around 5am, together with a steamy write-up claiming he was "caressing her and planting a little kiss on her forehead."
Jezebel's Maria Sherman is attempting to pour ice cold water over the hot, hot gossip, alleging it's "much too convenient a coupling when two famous people decide to hit the town immediately after releasing a song together".
"In celebrity news culture, it's easy to mistake two hot people standing near one another for chemistry. That seems like what is happening here,"
"I'd bet money that the paps were called to this location to capture these shots... I'm calling bullshit. I see asexual affection. "
The photos and video of Mendes and Cabello together were taken over the weekend, after Mendes's most recent public denial they were dating on Friday (LA time).
Did they finally elevate their relationship over the following days? Or is this all just hopeful fan gossip?
