Slipknot video 'Solway Firth' features Kiwi actor Karl Urban

Metal band Slipknot has released a new video promoting its next album,

The video for 'Solway Firth' features New Zealand actor Karl Urban swearing in an excerpt from his upcoming US TV show The Boys.

Various scenes of graphic, bloody violence from the show also feature in the Slipknot video.

As for the song itself, 'Solway Firth' is being described as "heavier than we've heard from slipknot in a while" and "Iowa levels of heavy".

The video was directed by Shawn Crahan, who performs as a clown with Slipknot and provides percussion.

As well as clips from The Boys, the video features footage from recent Slipknot concerts.

'Solway Firth' will feature on We Are Not Your Kind, the band's sixth studio album.

It's set to be released on August 9, while The Boys is premiering on Amazon Video this week.
