Kid Rock has joined Kanye West in making offensive public sexual claims about Taylor Swift and is being soundly criticised for doing so.
The 'Redneck Paradise' singer used his Twitter account to claim Taylor was providing sexual favours to men and/or registering as a Democrat in the US in order to land acting roles in films.
"Taylor Swift wants to be a Democrat because she wants to be in movies. Period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl," he tweeted.
Taylor recently featured in the trailer for Cats, but has starred in a handful of other movies including Valentine's Day (2010), The Giver (2014) and The Lorax (2012).
Kid Rock's bizarre attack on the 'Love Story' hit-maker prompted the hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsAdoredParty to trend as social media users leapt to her defence.
"You're pathetic," supermodel Chrissy Teigen replied, signing off her message in the same way Kid Rock did with his.
"Taylor Swift has done charity work simply by breathing and let these irrelevant hags like Kid Rock have their five minutes of fame by using her name," claimed a popular Taylor Swift fan account.
"Taylor Swift is awesome. Kid Rock is a wannabe, white trash, misygonistic trophy hunter that takes pleasure and joy in watching animals like this magnificent mountain lion die. He is evil and has no class or ethics," tweeted @Schroederville, with a photo of Kid Rock and a slain mountain lion.
Recently, Taylor spoke out about why she stayed quiet during the 2016 US presidential campaign in an interview with Vogue.
She also talked about the humiliation she suffered after being attacked by reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West, who labelled Taylor a "bitch" that he "might have sex" with in his song 'Famous'. The rapper also depicted Taylor and himself nude together in bed for the song's video.
Kid Rock, who is a grandfather and was previously married to Pamela Anderson, announced a run for the US senate in 2017, but later claimed it was a joke.
